Holy Trinity PSR offers a course of religious education for children of Holy Trinity parishioners who attend public school in grades 1 through 8.

Classes meet on Mondays from 6:45 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Holy Trinity School.

We use the 2009 version of the Christ Our Life series published by Loyola Press.

Thanks Again!
Drop off and pick up are going smoothly! Thank you parents for your cooperation. Thank you too Avon Police for your help in keeping things running smoothly for us!

Illnesses
Thank you too, parents who kept your kids home if they were ill. With influenza going around, that is a good practice. Please know that our catechists are also wiping down desks with sanitizing wipes at the end of class after students have left as part of our effort to help prevent the spread of illness.

Mass Attendance
As catechists, we are committed to doing our part in your child's religious education. We are happy to have your children in our PSR.

Families who consistently attend Mass provide their children with the necessary foundation for all faith formation. Christ Jesus Himself forms us in Faith, primarily through the Mass and in the small-faith community of the home. We appreciate the efforts of our many parents who are diligent in fulfilling the promises they made at their child's Baptism.

There are legitimate reasons for occassionally missing Mass that cannot be helped (e.g. sickness, death, car broke down on way to Mass). These cannot be helped and are not a problem.

On occassion, we find that some parents DO NOT take their children to Mass, because they prefer sports activities or some other illegitimate reason for missing Mass. By doing this, parents teach their children the opposite of what we're trying to teach them in PSR. This kind of thing is a problem.

Here at Holy Trinity, we teach the Deposit of Faith, whole and entire, without substitution, alteration or equivocation. We do not teach a "cafeteria style" Catholicism. What God has revealed for our salvation is life and that is what we are committed to sharing with our students.

Annual Eucharistic Procession
& Devotions

On Monday, November 23, 2009, last year's First Communicants who are currently in Grade 3 will participate in our annual Eucharistic Procession at the closing Mass of our annual Forty Hours Eucharistic Devotions. Grade 3 children will need to be present prior to the Mass at 7 p.m. for the line-up. Practices will be held during class time on Nov. 9 and 16th to prepare the children for the process.

There will be NO PSR CLASSES on this date, however PSR families are asked to attend this celebration.
